Lancôme organizes the first trip of African influencers to Zanzibar, Tanzania

In celebration of LancomeIconic perfume by Lancôme, 10th anniversary of La Vie Est Belle, here is a recap of Lancôme’s first sub-Saharan influence trip to Zanzibar, Tanzania.

From June 1-2, 2022, Lancôme, one of the world’s leading luxury beauty brands, held its first influencer trip to Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Sharon Mundia and Natalie Tewa (Kenya), Khosi Ngema (South Africa), Sharon Ooja and Kim Opra (Nigeria), and Andrea Kakou (Ivory Coast) were invited to join the brand for this unique experience.

“This is a milestone for Lancôme in Sub-Saharan Africa, as we continue to explore exciting ways to connect with and celebrate African women, who have embraced Lancôme in such a phenomenal way,” said Josie Samuelsbrand manager.

The journey began with a warm welcome at the five-star resort Zuri Zanzibar, followed by an immersion session with David Sharp, Brand National Make-Up Artist. Influencers were then pampered with a selection of beauty gifts, including personalized welcome notes and colorful indigenous Tanzanian headwear called Khanga, from the Lancôme team.

Next, a sunset cruise on the sparkling Indian Ocean, where each influencer received a bottle of ‘Life Is Beautiful Crystal Sun‘ L’Eau de Parfum, a fragrance inspired by the “first rays of spring sunshine”, a fitting start to a wonderful journey.

Lancôme welcomed the influencers to an Idôle cocktail party later in the evening. The highlight of the evening was all the women learning and performing a gripping dance routine, embodying the essence of Idol: empowerment. Everyone was showered with even more gifts; including Eau de Parfum ‘Idôle’, the radical scent of rose and jasmine.

The must-have fragrance celebrates olfaction with noble iris, patchouli and vanilla. The shore of the beach was illuminated by the ubiquitous Lancôme logo.
